The Israeli military has announced that it successfully targeted and killed Hezbollah commanders during airstrikes conducted in Lebanon on Friday.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed that the strikes led to the elimination of Muhammad Ali Ismail, the commander of Hezbollah's missile unit in southern Lebanon, along with his deputy, Hussein Ahmad Ismail. The IDF also stated that several other Hezbollah commanders and operatives were killed in the operation.
According to the IDF, Muhammad Ali Ismail was specifically responsible for orchestrating attacks against Israel, including the recent launch of a surface-to-air missile on Wednesday.
While the Israeli military has confirmed the deaths of these key figures, Hezbollah has not yet officially acknowledged the losses.
Throughout Friday, Israeli airstrikes targeted various locations in Lebanon, including the southern suburbs of Beirut. The IDF described these strikes as 'targeted' operations aimed at destroying Hezbollah weapons caches hidden beneath civilian structures.
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah continues to escalate, with both sides engaging in military actions that have raised tensions in the region.
