One of the tournament favourites enters the fray tonight as we see the final two teams make their entrance at the Women’s Euro 2022.
Having seen what the first three groups have to offer, tonight it’s the turn of Group D. And after Belgium and Iceland have gone head to head, it will be the turn of France and Italy to do battle.
The game sees one of the highest-ranked sides in the tournament finally get the chance to demonstrate their credentials, with France among the favourites to go all the way to Wembley. And looking at their squad, it’s easy to see why.

They boast one of the biggest names in women’s football in Marie-Antoinette Katoto, who is the favourite to claim the Golden Boot this year. With 25 goals in just 30 appearances for her country, she will certainly one to watch during the tournament.
Italy though will be aiming to cause an upset in their opening game. Milena Bertolini’s side will be hoping they can beat Belgium and Iceland to a place in the knockout stages, and beating France would certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons in Group D.

The match kicks off on Sunday, July 10 at 8pm (BST). It will be broadcast live on BBC Two from 7.45pm (BST).
