How to watch Livingston v Rangers: TV channel, kick-off time, live stream details and team news

The summer has gone by in a flash - and now Rangers will look to start their league season in equally quick fashion.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has spent the summer revamping his Light Blues squad for a Premiership trophy push this term after losing out in the title race to Celtic last season. Their first assignment is a tough away journey to Livingston, who have taken points off both Celtic and Rangers in West Lothian during recent campaigns.

John Souttar, Antonio Colak, Tom Lawrence, Rabbi Matondo, Malik Tillman, Ben Davies and Ridvan Yilmaz have all arrived to bolster their ranks after key departures of Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey. There's the added boost of talisman striker Alfredo Morelos closing in on a new contract at Ibrox ahead of the league curtain raiser and Belgian side Union St Gilloise during Champions League third round qualifying action next week.

Team news

Van Bronckhorst's new signings could all make their competitive debuts in West Lothian, with Colak in particular featuring plenty this pre-season.

Everyone else has had minutes of some sort but later arrivals like Davies and Yilmaz may take longer to get up to speed. Strikers Morelos and Kemar Roofe are still making their comebacks from injury.

Youngster Charlie McCann said ahead of the new season: "I think you can take bits of advice and tips from watching and speaking to all of the midfielders in this team.

"You look at the likes of Jacko (Ryan Jack), Lunny (John Lundstram) and people like that, they’ve experienced a lot in the game and are top-quality midfielders.

"I think just by working and training with them every day I’m going to learn a lot anyway."
