How to buy and grow Mandrake in Hogwarts Legacy

You’ll need lots of Mandrakes in Hogwarts Legacy in order to participate in all of your Botany classes. It’s also one of the few plants that can be used in battle, and can really turn the tide if you use it properly. Whether you want Mandrakes for quests or for battle, at some point you are going to have to use one.

While you can buy Mandrake, there is also a way to grow an infinite supply. Buying might be easier for a short-term fix, but you’ll want to grow them when you use them later on.

Here’s everything you need to know about Mandrakes in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy: Where to buy Mandrake

Buying Mandrake is the easiest way to get it, but it obviously will cost you money, which can be a precious resource. You can buy one from Dogweed and Deathcap, a shop on the north side of Hogsmeade. It’s a pretty expensive plant, so if it’s not time-sensitive, you will likely want to grow it yourself.

Hogwarts Legacy: How to grow Mandrake

Once you have unlocked the Room of Requirement, you can start growing whatever plants you want in there. You can buy pots to do this from Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade. Mandrake isn’t like Fluxweed or Venomous Tentacula, you can grow it in any size pot.

You can buy Mandrake seeds in Dogweed and Deathcap. You only need one set of seeds, as all plants grow infinitely after you grow them. You can harvest Mandrake every 15 minutes once you start to grow it.

Once you have your pot and your seeds you need to return to the Room of Requirement back in Hogwarts. Place a planter, and insert your Mandrake seeds and they will start to grow. Then it’s just a waiting game until you can collect it.
