Hamilton Accies have announced their first signing of the summer after the return of Lee Kilday.
The 31-year-old rejoins the New Douglas Park club from Queen's Park and is a welcome addition for John Rankin ahead of the new League One campaign next month.
Kilday said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be back to where it all started at Hamilton Accies.
“Having spoken at length with John Rankin, I am well aware of what is expected of me and this team going forward as we compete in League One.
“I was here 10 years ago now and I’m happy to get back and get going and hopefully we have a successful season.”
Head coach John Rankin added: “Bringing Lee back to Hamilton was a no brainer for us. As soon as we seen he was available he was one we wanted straight away.
"This deal has been ongoing on since before the play-offs finished as that’s how important it was to us and shows we were forward thinking and progressive, obviously it has only happened now due to holiday commitments and the close season.
“Lee knows the club well having come up through our Academy and that’s something where our current Academy players can certainly relate to and learn from.
“He was within moments of winning the Championship last season and to bring that mentality to us is extremely important to going forward.”
Accies have also been linked with a move for striker Euan Henderson, while out of contract midfielder Scott Martin is in talks about signing a new deal with the club.
