Dreams of another week of blue skies and tropical weather have been dashed after this week's forecast predicts a rainy and cloudy affair for Greater Manchester.
Today's weather (May 24) will be mostly dry with a few showers developing across the region. There is a chance of heavy rainfall in some parts of the region during the morning, but the that will eventually dissipate by the end of the day where it will be a drier with some sunshine to end the day where temperatures will rise to 16C.

The sunshine will make for a clear start to the Tuesday night where temperatures will reach 9C, but it will eventually turn windier and cloudier setting up for a rainy Wednesday morning according to the Met Office.
Wednesday morning we will see the full effects of the cloudy end to Tuesday. Prepare for a 'wet and cloudy' start to the day, but the weather will perk up just a little by the afternoon which will see sunny spells and scattered blustery showers with temperatures reaching up to 18C.
Thursday will be much of the same for region, however, there is light at the end of the tunnel with temperatures set to rise on Friday and Saturday with sunny spells as we head into the weekend.
