Frozen Trail update is coming to ARC Raiders on Oct. 8. There’s no confirmed release time just yet, but based on the timing of previous updates, it could be around 6am CT. However, because it’s one of the biggest updates, there could be delays and/or server issues on launch day.

New map
The new map in the Frozen Trails update is the largest in ARC Raiders. As part of the initial scouting party, you will travel across the mountains into the frozen settlement nestled beneath, with abandoned villages, factories, research facilities, and an observatory.
The map features greater verticality, exploration, and opportunities for discovery. There are threats above and below the ground, completely new environments. At the time of writing, Embark completed a round of user experience research and is iterating on the map.
High-level challenge
For veteran Raiders, Frozen Trail offers a new ARC Operation – an activity built around combat, teamwork, risk, and survival. While the exact details are still unknown, Embark promises this to be “one of the most intense experiences” the game has ever offered.
Outpost
Progression is one of the major aspects that is getting some attention in Frozen Trail. In addition to the Skill Tree update, ARC Raiders introduces the Outpost. Outpost is a new space for you to decorate and use, while making the first step towards reclaiming the surface.
Other things mentioned to come in the update include new ARCs (one of which is an “enormous machine), weapons, gadgets, and more. More details will be revealed as we approach the Frozen Trail launch on Oct. 8.
