Emmerdale set for major TV schedule change because of ITV's FA Cup coverage

Emmerdale is once again facing a major schedule change.

As often proves to be the case, millions of soap fans will need to alter their viewing habits as the soap moves because of ITV’s football coverage. The broadcaster will be screening matches in the FA Cup.

The broadcasting of fifth round matches from the historic English cup competition will be shared between ITV and BBC. This means, if you are a fan of all the major primetime soap operas you are in for a tricky week.

The schedule change comes at an annoying time for Emmerdale fans. As Paddy Dingle is involved in a major storylin e about mental health in men.

While, teenager Cathy Hope is still struggling with period troubles. This has led to a deterioration in her relationship with father Bob Hope.

  • Monday - 7.30pm
  • Tuesday - 7pm
  • Wednesday - Cancelled
  • Thursday - 7pm - Hour-long edition
  • Friday - 7pm - Hour-long edition
