Horses and riders from across the south of Scotland, Cumbria and Northumberland enjoyed a great day out at the Dumfries and Galloway Horse Show at Kirkgunzeon on Saturday.
The event, staged at Corra Garage Field by kind permission of the Smith family, was blessed with perfect late spring weather and a good turnout of competitors. The occasion was extra special for another reason – it was the 50th show to be held and, because of the pandemic, its first time back in the saddle for three years.
Show secretary Cath Mundell said: “A big thank you to the Smith family for giving up the use of their fabulous field for the day.
“We were lucky to get a nice dry sunny day which was greatly enjoyed by all competitors and spectators alike – especially after such a long absence of events due to Covid. We the committee would like to thank all judges, stewards, helpers, competitors and anyone else who helped to make the day such a success on what was our 50th anniversary show.”
