A doctor has explained what foods naturally increase GLP-1, a hormone that is used in weight loss injections and that we all “naturally make ourselves”.
Dr Amir Khan explained on Instagram on Thursday (12 March) that certain foods will naturally increase your GLP1 volume and thus lower your blood sugar levels.
He said that consuming more eggs, nuts, oats, olive oil and vegetables can stimulate insulin release and therefore keep you fuller for longer.
Dr Khan added that following a Mediterranean diet will lead to “improved insulin sensitivity compared to diets high in saturated fats”.
