New mommy Debina Bonnerjee shared her experience after learning that daughter Lianna getting jaundice 5 days after birth.
In her new video, Debina shared that her daughter’s jaundice level was 19 (above 15 is dangerous) after the blood test were done. Debina spoke about her daughter being kept under bili light in an incubator. Speaking about the process, Debina said, “A baby is just made to be worn a diaper and the eyes are covered with a pair of eye wear so that the light rays cause no harm. Lianna was put under 2 bili light.”
“I was in pain and tensed. Even Guru felt something was wrong as Lianna’s eyes were yellow. We felt guilty about not coming to the doctor before. But everyone assured us Lianna will be fine. We were informed that 90 per cent of kids are either born with jaundice or have jaundice after being born,” shared Debina.
The actress also shared that the doctors told her Lianna is going to be a beach baby. She said, “Doctors told me, ‘She slept like a Queen. You take her to Goa, she will chill. She didn’t cry and slept for 24 hrs straight’.”
Debina informed that the next day, the jaundice level dropped down to 10 and it was safe to take Lianna back home.
She also share that Lianna is a very calm baby and doesn’t cry at all. She says, “She’s gone on Guru (Gurmeet). I call her mini Guru.”
Debina and Gurmeet became parents to Lianna on April 3.
