Hit your high street this week and you can get cash back every time you shop at a small local business in this deal - which can save a few pennies at a time when every family is under financial pressure.
It's been a difficult couple of years for independent shops so here's your chance to boost their coffers while pocketing a nice bit of cashback for yourself into the bargain.
If you have an American Express credit or charge card, the deal is you get £5 cashback when spending £15 or more at participating local businesses from today until 11.59pm on Sunday, June 26. You can do this a maximum of five times, so spend £75 and Get £25 back, but your spend needs to be in five separate shops.

Other rules are you must save the Shop Small offer to your Amex card before you hit the shops, and the deal is in-store only, so purchases made online – even at a participating retailer – won't work. The £5 cashback is available to all personal and small business Amex credit and charge cardholders registered in the UK, but not corporate cards, business travel cards, Amex-branded store cards or pre-paid cards.
To get the deal, either go to American Express Shop Small, log in, see if the offer's available and save it to your card; or do it via the 'Offers' section of the Amex app. On the site, you will also find an interactive map, which shows you which businesses close to you are participating in the offer.
New businesses this year include BBC Takeaway of the Year winner My Dehli on Clayton Street, Newcastle, Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens and Browns Hairdressing in Framwellgate Moor, Durham.
Simply pay for your goods or services as usual, using your American Express card and your £5 cashback should appear as a credit to your card within five working days.
