David Warner mocks Hasan Ali by mimicking his own celebration as Australia beat Pakistan

Australia completed a brilliant 1-0 series win in their first tour of Pakistan since 1998 after winning the final Test in Lahore by 115 runs.

After Australia boldly declared on day four to leave Pakistan needing 351 runs to win from a minimum of 121 overs, the hosts were bowled out for 235. And with Australia closing in on victory, David Warner mocked Pakistan bowler Hasan Ali following his dismissal.

Ali managed to drag a delivery from spinner Nathan Lyon onto his own stumps and Warner celebrated the wicket by doing Ali's own trademark celebration right in front of him. The dismissal left Pakistan 226-8 and Australia wrapped up their win soon after, with Lyon taking 5-83.

It was Australia's first overseas Test series win since 2016 and their first series win in Asia since 2011. Speaking after the victory, captain Pat Cummins said: "The amount of confidence we'll get out of winning over here, not just as a team but so many individuals.

"Every individual had their moment and has shown that their game stands up to Asian conditions. So it's huge for Sri Lanka later in the year, India next year. That's awesome.

"Everyone's just totally elated. Winning overseas just doesn't happen very often. It's been a real toil for the last 25-30 days.

"We knew it was going to be totally different to normal life in Australia, under different conditions. And to come away with a series is hugely satisfying."

Australia opener Usman Khawaja, who was born in Pakistan before his family emigrated to Australia when he was five, ended the series as leading run scorer after striking 496 runs at an average of 165.33. "We’ve had a lot of fun, but first and foremost, I just want to thank Pakistan and Pakistani fans for being so hospitable," he said.

"We had a great time, everyone has been really welcoming, even when we were not winning, we were having so much fun. To win this game is just the icing on the cake."
