Cruz Beckham loses driving licence for speeding just two years after passing test

Cruz Beckham has reportedly had his driving licence revoked after being caught speeding twice in 20mph zones.

The 20-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham has lost his licence after racking up two speeding offences within two years of passing his test. According to the Mail on Sunday, both incidents involved him going over the limit in 20mph areas.

He is among 500,000 drivers caught speeding in similar zones.

Cruz’s second offence is believed to have happened on September 2, the publication reported. At the time, he told his Instagram followers he had been caught doing “24 in a 20” zone.

Under UK law, any driver who accumulates six or more penalty points within two years of passing their test has their licence automatically revoked and made void. It means Cruz will now have to re-take both his theory and practical tests to regain a licence from the DVLA.

Sources close to Cruz told the Mail he was “gutted” to lose his licence. “It’s infuriating but he seems to have taken it on the chin,” they added.

The 20-year-old, who famously celebrated passing his test by taking his burgundy Land Rover to McDonald’s, is understood to regularly drive between the family’s West London home and his parents’ Cotswolds mansion.
