Residents and road users are being urged to take part in a consultation over the future of traffic management in Lanark.
South Lanarkshire Council has identified seven potential solutions to help manage the flow of traffic through the town centre.
These include creating a new link road between St Leonard Street and Woodstock Road, creating a one-way system around parts of the town centre, introducing new mini-roundabouts and removing the pinch point at St Nicholas Parish Church.
The council is now seeking the views of residents, businesses and people who travel through Lanark.
And Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley is encouraging motorists to have their say.
She said: "It is welcome to see these proposals being brought forward by the council for consultation.
"Traffic in Lanark town centre is such a talking point that everyone has their own idea of what the best solution will be to tackle the issue.
"Now, residents, businesses and people who are just traveling through will be able to put forward their thoughts to inform the council about the way forward.
"I look forward to hearing the outcome of this consultation and I would urge as many people as possible to take part so that the council can progress with the best option for Lanark."
Full details on the proposals and a link to the survey is available at https://www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk/KeepLanarkMoving. The consultation is open until Friday, February 11.
