It’s always refreshing when a new player is mocked to the Minnesota Vikings. The theme this offseason has been cornerbacks, which is totally valid, but there are other needs on this team.
Managing Editor Tyler Forness has been vocal about the need at wide receiver all offseason. CBS Sports’ latest mock draft from Josh Edwards was released on Friday and he had the Vikings selecting USC wide receiver Jordan Addison.
“Jordan Addison, Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson form a dynamic trio in Minnesota for now, but the Vikings are set up with sustainability at wide receiver for many years to come.”
We may start to see more people join this bandwagon of drafting a receiver in round one, especially given the wide receiver market these days. Addison would be a true weapon opposite Justin Jefferson and could really elevate the Vikings’ offense to another level. Imagine an offense with Jefferson, Addison, and T.J. Hockenson for the next half-decade; it would be mesmerizing.
