Global bond markets found their footing on Friday morning, with yields slipping back after a turbulent Thursday in which government borrowing costs in Europe and the US hit multi-decade highs.
Yields, which rise when bond prices fall, retreated as Brent crude slipped about 2% to around $99.95 a barrel, tempering fears that the energy shock would keep inflation high and force central banks into more rate hikes.
