Gin brand Bombay Sapphire has unveiled Bombay Citon Presse, inspired by the classic Tom Collins cocktail, but with a modern twist. The new drink is created with a 100% natural fruits infusion and no added sugar.
Bombay Citon Presse contains hand-picked Mediterranean lemons, which have been harvested early in the season before being hand-peeled and concentrated to create a 100% natural fruits infusion. This infusion is then married with the brand’s vapour infused gin.
Dr Anne Brock, Bombay Sapphire Master Distiller said: “When creating Bombay Citon Presse, it was so important that only the best ingredients were used, combined with a distinct production process. Master of Botanicals, Ivano Tonutti ensures that the highest quality Mediterranean lemons are harvested at their ultimate ripeness to truly showcase the very best flavours that nature has to offer. We know that people are searching for natural, premium spirits and Bombay Citon Presse delivers this with a wonderfully bright and fragrant taste. Zesty lemon is underpinned by the classic notes of our vapour infused gin, providing a natural sweetness and a brilliant base for a host of cocktails.”
Sam Carter, Senior Brand Ambassador at the Bombay Sapphire Laverstoke Mill Distillery, said: “With summer right around the corner, we cannot wait for people to discover the naturally zesty taste of Bombay Citon Presse. We know that for gin-lovers, experimenting with new flavours and cocktail combinations is always high on the agenda. I love using Bombay Citon Presse in a simple but delicious twist on a gin and tonic – it’s bright, refreshing and perfect for summer entertaining. For something extra special, you could try a ‘White Lady’ - a silky sophisticated classic with an appealing sour finish, made using orange liqueur, egg white and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Shake well and it delivers an incredibly smooth, foamy cocktail with a delicate citrusy flavour profile.”
