The Cincinnati Bengals are putting in some major work on the safety position in free agency.
Cincinnati had Los Angeles Rams safety Nick Scott in for a visit on Thursday. And now, according to ESPN’s Field Yates, Scott’s teammate, Taylor Rapp, will visit the Bengals, too.
Rapp, 25, was a second-round pick in 2019 who had an 82.3 run defense grade and 72.9 coverage grade at PFF last season.
One of the surest tacklers at the position leaguewide, Rapp has experience lining up all over the defense. That’s something the Bengals will find valuable as they look to replace both Jessie Bates and Vonn Bell.
Either Scott or Rapp would make a ton of sense next to Dax Hill as the first-round product attempts to fill the void left by Bates’ departure next season.
