Do you ever just think back to Anderson Silva in his prime and the way he moved so effortlessly in the cage? I do sometimes, and I marvel at how he embodied Muhammad Ali’s famous “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” motto as a mixed martial artist.
It’s been a long time since Silva looked like that, but we did see flashes last year in his two boxing matches – a decision win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and a first-round knockout of fellow former UFC champion Tito Ortiz. Those were fun to watch.
It seems Silva, who turns 47 in April, has every intention of continuing to box this year, with a possible Jake Paul matchup in his future. And so of course “The Spider” is training to stay in shape and keep his skills sharp. His son, Kalyl Silva, recently shared a video on social media of his old man partaking in a 2-on-1 sparring session.

It might not be the same as Silva entering “The Matrix” and making Forrest Griffin look silly before knocking him out, but it’s cool to still see him looking smooth. He’s still got it – or at least enough of it.
