An angry fan pushed Manchester United winger Amad Diallo during Sunderland's Championship playoff semi-final exit to Luton Town, footage has shown.
It was a monumental night for the Hatters who moved one step closer to completing a rise from non-league to Premier League by winning the second leg 2-0, and 3-2 on aggregate against Tony Mowbray's side. Diallo, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers, has been a key performer for the Black Cats in their first season back in the Championship since getting out of League One.
Footage shared on social media shows Diallo going over to take a Sunderland throw-in, when a number of fans hurled verbal abuse at him. One punter went a step further and appears to push the Man United loanee to make the situation a physical altercation. The youngster did not react and simply wanted the ball back off another fan, who refused to hand it over.
