NEW YORK: Luxury beauty brand Estee Lauder said in a statement Tuesday it had agreed to buy designer Tom Ford's company for $2.3 billion.

It's the beauty firm's biggest acquisition yet. The purchase, subject to regulatory approvals, is slated to close in the first half of 2023.
