At Independence Day celebrations in Mysuru, Somashekar says ₹100 crore released for the purpose

MYSURU: Mysuru district in-charge minister ST Somashekar informed that 1,000 cusecs of water will be released from the Kabini dam in HD Kote taluk for irrigation starting from July 15. He was speaking after participating in the irrigation advisory meeting on Tuesday.

The decision to drop the plan to build a ropeway to Chamundi Hills — which is a major victory for environmentalists — was taken at a meeting of senior officials and stakeholders held in Mysuru on July 6
