Sebastien Buemi’s latest appearance in this list isn’t just down to his heroics in the last knockings of a WEC campaign that secured Toyota the manufacturers’ crown.

The Briton finished third on-the-road in a tense penultimate round which would have been enough for the title, but the result was guranteed when he was promoted to second after Antonio Felix da Costa was handed a three-minute penalty for a technical infringement after finishing second. 

Envision Racing’s Cassidy, who enters this weekend’s double-header at the ExCeL London’s unique indoor/outdoor circuit 24 points behind Dennis in the championship, set a 1m11.264s three minutes from the end of the session which proved to be the fastest time.
