Publisher Penguin Random House announced Friday it will publish “classic” unexpurgated versions of Roald Dahl’s children’s novels after it received criticism for cuts and rewrites that were intended to make the books suitable for modern readers.

LONDON: Roald Dahl’s famous children’s books including “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “Matilda” will be published uncensored later this year, the publisher Puffin said on Friday, bowing to pressure after a public outcry over modernised versions.
