The 19-year-old will be the first Polish driver to ever run in IndyCar’s developmental category

Junior Formula driver Sophia Floersch turns Stateside for her next racing endeavor, as she joins HMD Motorsports for the 2025 season in Indy NXT. 

The 21-year-old Briton led all 75 laps en route crossing the finish line by 3.3406s over championship rival Jacob Abel. Yuven Sundaramoorthy, Abel’s rookie team-mate at Abel Motorsports, finished third to collect the first Indy NXT podium of his career.

A 20-year-old Briton, Foster wheeled the No. 26 Andretti Global entry to a beatdown of the field to claim a 8.2445s victory and lead all 35 laps around the 2.238-mile, 11-turn natural terrain road course. It is the fifth Indy NXT win of Foster’s career.

The 19-year-old will take the reins of the team’s No. 6 Chevrolet starting with this weekend’s round at Laguna Seca.
