Chevrolet already has a wide range of options for C8 Corvette shoppers—from the base car on up to the wild ZR1X. One of the best versions, however, hasn't even arrived yet: the Corvette Grand Sport.

There's no debate: the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X is officially America’s quickest production car. The automaker tested its supercar back in October, where it completed the quarter mile in 8.675 seconds at 159 miles per hour.  

The Chevrolet Corvette is an unbelievable value, with a price-to-performance ratio that puts some exotic European brands to shame. The Corvette ZR1, the ultimate iteration of the eighth-generation model, isn’t cheap, but it is cheaper than the Ferrari 296 GTB—and it’s faster in a quarter-mile drag race, too.  

General Motors is spending a boatload of money on a sixth-generation small-block V-8 engine. That new motor will power an assortment of vehicles, including the Chevrolet Corvette. It should also come in two sizes, which means the company's iconic sports car could get an even larger engine.
