RAIPUR: Amidst nine bills passed by the legislative assembly in Chhattisgarh awaiting the governor's assent, state Law and Legislative Affairs Minister Ravindra Choubey stated on Friday that the Supreme Court's decision in the Punjab case serves as a guideline for Governors across states.

A delegation of 10 political parties, led by Congress, has urged Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey to initiate peace talks between the two warring communities in the State

The delegation said that they were “very shocked and sad to hear the stories of anxieties, uncertainties, pains and sorrows of the individuals affected by the unprecedented violence.

The Manipur government’s efforts to send additional State police to the town along the India-Myanmar border has now been blocked by around 300-400 women protesters.

On Sunday morning, the delegation will meet Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhawan to discuss the ongoing situation and possible measures to bring peace in Manipur. Read further on Dynamite News:

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to stay a high court order declaring the state's 58% reservation as unconstitutional, saying that justice will be served only when the governor grants his assent to the new 76% reservation bills.
