Siam Paragon invites everyone to celebrate the Year of the Tiger at the Parc Paragon which has been transformed into a Chinatown during the "Siam Paragon Golden Prosperous Chinese New Year 2022" which kicks off today and runs until Feb 1.
Featuring the Chinese festive vibe and elaborate decorations such as replicas of Chinese-style architectures and an elegant gateway that is decked out with lanterns and sculptures with auspicious meanings, the festival will amaze visitors with the presentation of a 69m-long LED golden dragon which symbolises the power of the nature.
It's accompanied by two sculptures of golden tigers, one representing prosperity, good fortune and wealth and the other signifying victory, physical strength and strong spirit.
Expect to witness a lion dance performed by seven lions in seven colours, with the highlight a lion dance on a plum flower pole, daily at 6.30pm starting from tomorrow.
This is also a rare opportunity to enjoy a guzheng (Chinese zither) performance by master Li Yang who has provided musical instruction to HRH Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. She will perform daily at 6pm from tomorrow.
Visitors will also have a chance to get free auspicious Chinese calligraphy crafted by master Noppon Waitayachart, who will be on hand to create the art daily from 4pm to 7pm.
For those interested in fortune-telling, an online version of Chinese fortune sticks, or siem see, is available with predictions to be read by respected fortune tellers.
