Thousands of Xbox users worldwide have been unable to sign in, access their game libraries, or launch digital games after a major Xbox Live outage that began late on July 26 and continued into July 27 and July 28, 2026. Microsoft has acknowledged the issue, apologized for the prolonged disruption, and says services are gradually recovering, although many players are still experiencing problems.
In its latest update on X, Xbox Support said: "We apologize for the long-running nature of this issue. Things are slowly improving, though players worldwide may still experience failures launching games, along with potential sign-in and purchase issues."
