A solar image that self-described UFO expert Scott C Waring says was captured on 3 October has prompted him to claim that a rectangular white shape is a massive alien ship moving through the solar system at 'tremendous speed'.

Waring, who has long promoted theories about extraterrestrial life, published the claim on his website on 11 October. He said the supposed craft appeared in only one frame, which he interpreted as evidence of rapid movement.
