Woman who stole from elderly neighbour grins as she leaves court after she's SPARED jail - because she's a single mum

A single mum who repeatedly stole from her elderly vulnerable neighbour was seen grinning as she left court after avoiding a prison sentence.

Clair Woodward, 35, was spared jail because of the severe impact that it would have on her ten-month-old baby and other two children, Liverpool Crown Court heard.

On top of the theft, Woodward, from St Helens, was also loaned thousands of pounds by the kind-hearted victim due to her son suffering from severe ADHD, prosecution barrister Trevor Parry-Jones told the court.
