KOCHI: A day after a director was arrested from a shooting location after a woman filed a complaint that she was allegedly sexually assaulted by him multiple times, a post was seen on the Women Against Sexual Harassment’s FB page on Monday in which, a woman (purportedly the survivor) alleged torture and abuse by the accused.
Women in Cinema Collective shared this post and said it will stand with the survivor. WCC also acknowledged her courage for speaking about the incident. While the industry and government are discussing the implementation of POSH Act and whether Justice Hema Committee report should come out, another shocking incident of sexual abuse was revealed. Director Liju Krishna has been arrested on charges of rape…We demand the industry, and all allied associations take a serious note of this, WCC said in its Facebook page. WCC said that his membership in all film bodies must be revoked and he should be barred from working in the industry until a court gives its verdict.
