Woman jailed over child's drowning in Karuah River

Vogue Elers was one of a kind - a beautiful, bubbly, sassy four-year-old who loved the playground and shopping trips and who had her older siblings and cousins wrapped around her finger.

Newcastle District Court heard on Friday how Vogue's drowning in the Karuah River last year, after a kayak overturned, had shattered her family and their community.
