A woman was robbed by a thug on a bike who made off with her handbag as she walked home at night in Paisley.
The 63-year-old was on Neilston Road around 2.40am on yesterday morning when she was approached by the crook who was riding a bike.
The suspect then grabbed her handbag and abandoned his bike at the scene and fled on foot.
It’s understood a number of personal belongings were taken by the opportunistic thief.
The woman was not injured during the incident, but was left shaken.

Police in Paisley have now launched an investigation to trace the suspect, who is described as wearing a body warmer/gilet, a grey hooded top and grey jogging bottoms.
He was also riding a gold coloured mountain bike.
Officers investigating are appealing to the community for information, and are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything to please get in touch.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received a report of the robbery of a 63-year-old woman on Neilston Road in Paisley around 2.40am on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
“The male suspect was riding a gold coloured mountain bike but ran off from the scene on foot. He was wearing a gilet, a grey hooded top and grey jogging bottoms.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
“Anyone who may have information about the incident should call police via 101, quoting incident 0579 of 27 February.”
