Winners of the Wales Legal Awards 2022 revealed

The best in the Welsh legal profession has been recognised at an annual awards event.

The 2022 Wales Legal Awards saw the outstanding contribution award going to Gerard Elias QC, while the overall team of year award went to Cardiff-based firm Darwin Gray.

Mr Elias acted as leading counsel the Waterhouse Inquiry into abuse at Children’s Homes in North Wales, to soldiers and civil servants in the Bloody Sunday Enquiry and to the Baha Mousa inquiry, which is now regarded as an exemplar in running public inquiries.
