Good Morning America-GMA correspondent Will Reeve today revealed that he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Son of legendary Superman actor Christopher Reeve on Tuesday he underwent chemotherapy treatment for the disease during the summer earlier this year.
Reeve, 34-year-old New York-based correspondent, revealed that he was encouraged by wife Amanda to visit a doctor back in April when he saw a lump in the left testicle.
According to the National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine, testicular cancer is a disease that develops in the tissues of one or both testicles.
Following an ultrasound, Reeve underwent a procedure named orchiectomy in May. Under this process, one or both testicles are removed. Subsequently in June, Reeve had second surgery to remove dozens of lymph nodes to check spread of the cancer. This procedure is known as retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, ABC reported.
