US President Donald Trump has renewed his push to make Daylight Saving Time permanent across the country, calling on Republican senators to stop delaying legislation that would end the twice-yearly clock changes.
In a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, Trump appealed directly to members of his party to lift procedural holds that have slowed the bill's progress in the Senate. Describing the proposal as a rare issue capable of attracting bipartisan support, he argued that Americans across the political spectrum favour keeping the clocks on Daylight Saving Time throughout the year.
