Wicklow woman cleared of husband's murder 'grateful' to jury and hoping to move on with life

A woman who was found not guilty of murdering her husband says she now wants to move on with her life and raise her children.

Sarah Doyle (32) stabbed her husband Philip Doyle (33) at the home they shared in The Heath, Ramsgate, Gorey, Co Wexford - but this week a jury accepted her claims of self-defence and found her not guilty of his murder.

Ms Doyle, who has dyed her hair a lighter colour since the trial this week, spoke briefly to this paper outside a home in Co Wicklow, where she now lives as a free woman.
