Even the most peripheral parts of the capital have been enveloped by the spread of high house prices and rents, according to new data from Hamptons. The analysis shows that across all boroughs the average monthly mortgage repayment swallows up more than a third of the average, single, local first-time buyer income — an important affordability threshold.
