Those tuning into the show for their Friday fix of Good Morning Britain (GMB) today will notice that it’s absent from the schedules.
It's all part of a reorganisation that will continue to affect the ITV daytime schedule for a few more weeks.
But why exactly was GMB cancelled today and when is it back on our screens?
Why is Good Morning Britain cancelled today?
Due to a change in the broadcast schedule brought on by the Women's World Cup, GMB is not airing today.
Matches are being broadcast here overnight and in the morning because the tournament begins in Australia and New Zealand on July 20. The time difference has an impact on the ITV daytime programme.
The football competition is also impacting shows like Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. This means that for the upcoming few weeks, timetables will be in flux; some programmes, like Lorraine, may see extensions, while others may see cuts or discontinuation altogether.
In terms of the BBC, the football won’t have a huge impact on their schedule as they will be airing some of the late-night matches, including Colombia vs. Korea Republic on Tuesday at 3am UK time and USA vs Netherlands on Thursday, July 27, at 1am.
When will Good Morning Britain return to ITV?
Viewers don’t have to wait too long as GMB is back on schedule for Thursday, July 27 at 6am.
However, instead of its usual couple-hour slot, it will end at 8am for the live coverage of the Portugal vs Vietnam game.
ITV will return to its usual schedule the following day on Friday, July 28, as the England vs Denmark match is being shown on BBC One, with live coverage starting at 9am.
The Women’s World Cup ends on August 20, so viewers of GMB should expect disruption until then.
ITV’s schedule is shared weekly, therefore the upcoming month’s schedule is still not known.
