It's got to be one of the most annoying things that can happen when you drive your car. You arrive at your destination on a rainy day, you turn off the engine, and the windshield wipers stop halfway. Why is that?
Obviously, it's not supposed to be like this. Working wipers don't simply stop wherever they happen to be. Normally, they continue moving until they return to a specific position at the bottom of the windshield. That's due to a feature built into the wiper motor and electrical system called park positioning.
