
Tensions are once again rising on the Korean Peninsula after North Korea launched hundreds of balloons that dropped rubbish and manure on towns and cities across South Korea, including the runway of Seoul’s main airport.
The South Korean government responded on Tuesday by suspending an inter-Korean military deal that was signed in 2018 with the aim of easing animosities at their heavily militarised border.
