Auguste Rodin won the 2023 Epsom Derby in a thrilling finish to the famous race.
King Of Steel, a 66-1 outsider was leading into the final straight before 9-2 shot Auguste Rodin fought back at the last to take the glory for jockey Ryan Moore and trainer Aidan O'Brien
White Birch finished third, while Frankie Dettori, who who was riding his last Epsom Derby, had gone into the race as favourite on Arrest but finished a disappointing 10th.
The race had been under threat from Animal Rights activists but Surrey Police confirmed on Saturday morning 19 arrests had been made of people suspected of planning disorder. Two protesters were arrested at the racecourse as they attempted to disrupt the Epsom Derby.
One man managed to jump the fence before being tackled and handcuffed by police on the racecourse while the crowd jeered and booed.
Minutes later, a woman attempted to climb the fence but was pulled to the floor by police.
Despite pledges by activist group Animal Rising to "cancel or severely delay" the Derby, the race continued as planned shortly after the protesters were carried away.
