A “striking and personal” self-portrait by David Bowie is expected to sell for up to £55,000 after coming to auction for the first time.
Sotheby’s said a self-portrait painted in 1996 by the musician, who died aged 69 on January 10 2016 after an 18-month battle with cancer, will go on sale next week.
