Who's Cooking Dinner? Tom Kerridge, Ravinder Bhogal and more help celebrate 25th anniversary of charity event

The chef-led charity event Who’s Cooking Dinner? celebrated its 25th anniversary this week and raised more than £280,000 in support of cancer research

At the Dorchester hotel on Monday, chefs such as Tom Kerridge, Ravinder Bhogal, and Elliot Grover cooked for guests in support of Leukaemia UK.

As always, diners were not told who had been allocated their table, with dishes arriving from the kitchen to tables unaware until a big reveal post-pudding.

Co-founded in 1999 by restaurant luminaries Chris Corbin OBE and Peter Gordon ONZM, together they have helped raise more than £8 million since, with the likes of Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay, and Rick Stein all taking part over the years.

Corbin was this week announced as Leukaemia UK’s newest patron and said: “25 years ago, Peter and I had an idea to create a fundraiser with a difference. We wanted to use our culinary contacts to produce an event that would be a headliner in the world of hospitality and raise much-needed funds for vital research into treatments for leukaemia.

“We are so proud of how Who’s Cooking Dinner? has grown and become the event it is today.”

Kerridge, who has been part of the event for the past 10 years, added: “Who’s Cooking Dinner? is one of the best charity events in London. It’s fantastic to see the UK’s restaurant industry come together to help raise vital funds for Leukaemia UK in such a fun and creative way. I’m looking forward to the next 25 years!”

Every hour someone in the UK is diagnosed with leukaemia, a type of blood cancer, and 60,000 people in the UK are currently living with the disease.

Coinciding with Blood Cancer Awareness Month, Who’s Cooking Dinner? helps Leukaemia UK fund life-saving research.
