A man was killed as a suspected stolen car crashed into a house last night.
The victim, in his 60s, was hit at around 9.05pm on Thursday, April 13. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene but the man was pronounced dead a short time later.
Officers have reported that a dark coloured Audi S8 car hit the man and then crashed into a house on Morgan Mews, Netherton. The man who was driving the car then ran from the scene on foot.

Detectives believe the car was stolen during a previous burglary before the crash. A police helicopter was also spotted above the scene of the incident, believed to be looking for the driver.
A hunt if now on for the Audi S8 driver who fled from the scene of the crash. Last night, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service also attended, along with a structural assessor, to help decide if the property is structurally sound and safe.
Images from the scene show that the car has crashed through a brick wall and fence, into what appears to be the back garden of a house on Morgan Mews. A large cordon is still in place which covers Poulsom Drive, Swifts lane and the nearby roundabout.
A white tent has also been erected in the garden of a home which is believed to be the house the car crashed into. Damage can also be seen to Swifts Lane, though it is not yet clear if the damage visible is connected to the incident.
Detective inspector Colin Rennison said: "We are in the very early stages of establishing the circumstances of this incident. Officers are currently at the scene and house-to-house enquiries are being carried out.
"We will also be checking CCTV and smart doorbell footage from the area in a bid to identify the male who was driving the vehicle. We are interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen a dark-coloured Audi S8 being driven in the area before the collision occurred.
