The White House recently announced new defensive military deployments to assist Israel in safeguarding itself against threats posed by Iran and its proxies. This decision was disclosed following a phone call between President Biden, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Vice President Kamala Harris.
During the call, both leaders deliberated on strategies for Israel to enhance its defense mechanisms against potential attacks from Iran, as well as militant groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in Yemen. The discussions also encompassed the provision of support to counter ballistic missiles and drones, leading to the initiation of new defensive U.S. military deployments.
