Where is Tebay service station from TV's A Lake District Farm Shop?

Tebay Services is a unique family-run service station that has been a lifeline for local producers and farmers for 50 years.

Currently featured in a second series of Channel 4 documentary, A Lake District Farm Shop, Tebay was the first, and remains the only, family-run motorway service station in the UK. Millions of motorists visit each year, making it a lifeline for the local community.

Comedian Frank Skinner once said if there was a road to heaven, Tebay would be the service station on that road. The latest six-part series will showcase everything Tebay has to offer.

The station was set up in 1972 by farmers John and Barbara Dunning after the motorway was built through their farm. They invited the world to this once-remote stretch of Westmorland to eat a good meal, enjoy a heartfelt welcome and relish the upland landscape.

It is the only services in England to be built and operated by local people and it has established a strong reputation for excellent homemade food and friendly staff, as well as its award-winning farm shops.

Set in the glorious Lake District, Tebay Services can be found on the M6 motorway in the Eden district of Cumbria. It is only accessible from the M6.

The second series of A Lake District Farm Shop begins at 8.15pm on Saturday (April 9) on Channel 4 and All 4
