Netflix is gearing up to release its next instalment in the Bridgerton series. The streaming giant has confirmed Queen Charlotte – a spin-off from the hit period drama – will drop later this Spring.
The new limited series is billed as a “Bridgerton-verse prequel” that tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton. The series introduces a young Charlotte (India Amarteifio), who is only starting to understand her power – and the meaning of love.
Viewers meet Charlotte as she embarks on her life-changing marriage with King George (Corey Mylchreest) that fans caught a glimpse of in Bridgerton season two. And while Queen Charlotte is dedicated to unraveling the past and exploring the couple’s early romance, it will also give fans a peek into the present-day lives of the Bridgerton cohort ahead of the show’s upcoming third season.

It shows young Charlotte settling into her life as the Queen of England and acquainting herself with a royal husband, all while leading the country. But when is Queen Charlotte coming out on Netflix?
